![]() We periodically offer bicycle mechanics classes to the public so you can learn how to perform your own maintenance and repairs. ![]() Click here for instructional videos on using the stand and air pump. The stands are available 24/7 and include an air pump, flat head and phillips head screwdrivers, allen key set, wrenches (8, 9, 10, 11, 15, and 32 mm), torx wrench, and tire levers. Additional repair stands are located at the Wilmington Transit Hub and the DuPont Environmental Education Center. Walnut Street and the other at Woodlawn Library on the west side. Urban Bike Project maintains two public repair stands in Wilmington – one located in front of our shop at 1500 N. For those in need, you may fill out a form to access shop resources for free. You can also purchase any parts you need to repair your bike at low-cost. It costs $3/hour to use our tools, and knowledgeable volunteer mechanics will help you repair your bicycle. Appointments are available M-F 11am – 5pm. Our shop is open to the public for do-it-yourself repairs during Open Shop hours (walk-in, no appointments): To avoid wait times, customers are encouraged to schedule an appointment. In addition to Open Shop hours, we are also offering appointments M-F 11am – 5pm. There may be longer than usual wait times during Open Shop hours. Due to COVID restrictions, we are limiting the number of customers allowed in the building at once.
